Seattle Department of Neighborhoods to host free Neighborhood Matching Fund workshops this fall
Applications due early 2010
SEATTLE – The Seattle Department of Neighborhoods is hosting free technical assistance workshops to educate neighborhood groups and community organizations on funding opportunities under the Neighborhood Matching Fund. Participants will learn about revised 2010 guidelines and application forms, project proposal development, successful outreach strategies, and coordination with other government agencies. The workshop will be taught by Neighborhood Matching Fund project managers.

The Neighborhood Matching Fund Program provides cash awards to community organizations for neighborhood-based projects. The deadline for Small and Simple Projects Fund is January 11, 2010 and the Large Projects Fund Letter of Intent is due February 8, 2010.
The Seattle Department of Neighborhoods works to bring government closer to our residents through civic engagement, community empowerment and involvement by all residents for the betterment of their community.
