Free concerts to ring in holidays at City Hall, Municipal Tower
Line-up includes Medieval Women's Choir and The Klez Katz


SEATTLE — Enjoy good tidings and great music at four free holiday concerts during the month of December at City Hall and the Seattle Municipal Tower. The lunchtime concerts are noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday performances are at Seattle Municipal Tower. Thursday concerts will take place at City Hall.

The concerts are part of the free lunchtime Seattle Presents concert series presented year-round by Seattle's Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs. For more information, visit www.seattle.gov/seattlepresents or call (206) 684-7171.

Seattle Youth Symphony Ensembles, Tuesday, Dec. 1
Small ensembles featuring the finest musicians from the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestras will perform festive classical works and holiday favorites.

Medieval Women's Choir, Tuesday, Dec. 15
Soloist Stacey Sunde joins the Medieval Women's Choir for a program of Spanish holiday music, seasonal carols, and Italian songs from the choir's latest recording Laude Novella.

Seattle Pro Musica, Thursday, Dec. 3
Brighten your winter with Easter Lights, a program of choral music from Asia and the Pacific. Nationally acclaimed choral group Seattle Pro Musica will perform traditional winter songs and new music from Japan, Korea, China, Mongolia, Southeast Asia, New Zealand and Australia.

Klez Katz, Thursday, Dec. 17
Treat your ears to a feast of joyous klezmer, lilting waltzes, and mysterious gypsy and Middle Eastern music influenced by Jewish tradition and culture.

The Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs promotes the value of arts and culture in communities throughout Seattle. The 16-member Seattle Arts Commission, citizen volunteers appointed by the mayor and City Council, supports the city agency.
