James Street Closed Tomorrow From Fourth to Fifth Avenues
SEATTLE—James Street will be closed to through traffic between Fourth and Fifth avenues tomorrow (Saturday, October 17) from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. If weather permits, SDOT’s contractor will prepare the intersection of Fourth and James for paving. Eastbound traffic on James will be required to turn north at Fourth Avenue and westbound traffic on James will be required to turn south on Fifth Avenue. James Street will be open to local access traffic, so there will be access to the city hall parking garage during this closure.
This work is a part of the Fourth Avenue paving project. For more project information, see http://www.seattle.gov/transportation/4th_pave_olivejackson.htm
The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $12 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
