Traffic Restrictions This Week at Second Avenue and Yesler Way

SEATTLE - SDOT’s paving contractor will work in the intersection of Second Avenue at Yesler Way through Saturday morning, August 15. Traffic restrictions will be in place on Wednesday from as early as 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. while crews perform preparatory work. The restrictions will resume as early as 7 a.m. on Thursday, August 13 and will remain in place through Saturday at 10 a.m.

Traffic on Second Avenue (one-way southbound) will be able to continue straight through the intersection or turn right onto Yesler Way. Westbound, through traffic on Yesler Way will be required to turn either way on Third Avenue. Eastbound traffic on Yesler Way will be required to turn right at Second Avenue.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $12 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
