Barton Street

The Barton Street P-Patch was developed with the effort of many volunteers and funding support from the Parks and Green Spaces Levy. It is located on the corner of SW Barton St and 34th Ave SW in West Seattle, which was formally a vacant grassy lot.

What's New?

We did it! We finished the final phase of garden bed construction! Plots have been assigned and gardeners are already reaping good harvests!

History

Neighbors in the West Seattle area noticed an vacant lot on the corner of Barton Ave. SW and 34th Ave SW. This was a prime spot to create open green space! West Seattle had been designated as a priority area for new community garden development, so the neighborhood has been working with the Department of Neighborhoods, the Parks and Green Spaces Levy, and the broader community to make this garden a reality.
