P-Patch Community Gardens
New Holly 29 Ave Garden
The 29th St Garden is part of the New Holly Redevelopment. Holly Park, a Seattle Housing Authority community, was demolished and rebuilt as a mixed income community. The hope was that the community gardens would reflect the make-up of the population at New Holly. Some gardeners are homeowners and some gardeners live in low-income rental housing. This small garden surrounded by a bamboo fence is located at the West End of New Holly. The gardeners are Southeast Asian and East African immigrants, Chinese American, and White American.
