Advisory Core Team (ACT)
23rd Avenue Action Plan (Union-Cherry-Jackson)

ACT logoThe 23rd Avenue Advisory Core Team (or the 23rd Avenue ACT) is an advisory work group that collaborates directly with the City of Seattle and the community to ensure that the shared vision and implementation actions pertaining to the 23rd Avenue Action Plan (Union-Cherry-Jackson) reflect the voices and balanced interests of the community. In addition, the ACT will work with the community to carry the 23rd Avenue Action Plan beyond this project - maintaining the shared vision, unity and commitment needed to make change possible.

The purpose of the 23rd Avenue Action Plan project is to establish a city-community collaboration that creates a shared vision and action plan to improve the health and equity of three Central Area community cores: 23rd Avenue & E. Union Street; 23rd Avenue & E. Cherry Street; and 23rd Avenue S. & S. Jackson Street.

With the support of the City's Community Development team, ACT members will:

  • Advise city staff on key elements of the 23rd Avenue (Union-Cherry-Jackson) Action Plan project
  • Review stakeholder input to ensure a balance of community interests
  • Engage the wider community through targeted outreach to their interest groups
