Learn about Seattle’s Neighborhood Matching Fund at an upcoming workshop
Matching fund program supports community-initiated projects

SEATTLE The Neighborhood Matching Fund, a program of Seattle Department of Neighborhoods, is hosting two workshops for those interested in applying to the Small and Simple Projects Fund this June. The Small and Simple Projects Fund provides matching awards of up to $25,000 to neighborhood groups and community organizations for community-building projects.

At the workshop you will get an overview of the Neighborhood Matching Fund, the qualities of a good project, and the application process and requirements. To RSVP call 206-733-9916 or go online at www.surveymonkey.com/s/SASWorkshops. Childcare and interpreters can be arranged when you RSVP and request these services at least 72 hours in advance. The workshops are open to all:

Rainier Vista Boys and Girls Club
4520 Martin Luther King Jr Way South, 98104

To learn about the Small and Simple Projects Fund, visit seattle.gov/neighborhoods/nmf/smallandsimple.htm. The deadline for applications is Monday, June 2 at 5:00 p.m., but make sure to register early on our web-based application system. There will be one more opportunity to apply to this fund on October 6.

Our Neighborhood Matching Fund staff is available to advise groups on ways to develop successful applications and projects. They are eager to help you, so call 206.233.0093 or email NMFund@seattle.gov before applying to discuss your project idea with one of our project managers.

The Neighborhood Matching Fund (NMF) Program awards matching funds for projects initiated, planned, and implemented by community members. Its goal is to build stronger and healthier neighborhoods through community involvement and engagement. Every award is matched by a neighborhood’s contribution of volunteer labor, donated materials, in-kind professional services, or cash.
