Seattle youth receive arts awards tomorrow in honor of Neighbor Appreciation Day
Awardees to be recognized by Mayor McGinn and City Councilmember O'Brien

In a special ceremony, Mayor Mike McGinn and Councilmember Mike OBrien will present awards to the top 15 winners of the 17th annual Neighbor Appreciation Day Student Art Contest.

Saturday, February 12, 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (Program begins 10:15 a.m.)

The colorful artwork depicting neighborhood scenes and neighbors helping neighbors will be on display. Students will be available for interviews.

The artwork of the two first place winners, Grace Corsi, an 8th grader at Hamilton International Middle School, and Angel Corpuz, a 4th grader at Dunlap Elementary School adorns 13,000 Neighbor Appreciation Day greeting cards distributed for free at Neighborhood Service Centers, libraries, and community centers.
