Welcome to the Southwest District!
The Southwest District is one of two districts located on the West Seattle peninsula. Beginning at the north on the beaches of Alki (credited as the landing point for Seattle's first white settlers), going south all the way to Seattle city limits, it counts Puget Sound as its western border and 35th Avenue SW as its eastern border. The oldest of Seattle’s neighborhoods, Southwest neighborhoods are varied and distinctive, but all are located in a hilly district of Seattle. The district includes some of Seattle's most popular beachfronts and views of the downtown skyline, Olympic Mountains, and Cascade Range.
