Welcome to the Lake Union District!
Lake Union District includes neighborhoods surrounding what Native Americans referred to as Tenass Chuck ("little water"). The area was landlocked until the opening of Lake Washington Ship Canal in 1917 which connected Lake Washington to Puget Sound.
