The East District is located east of I-5 and downtown on an elevation of over 800 feet of hills overlooking the Puget Sound. It stays west of Broadway, north of Madison, and stops at the north and east at Lake Washington by the Olmsted Brothers-designed Washington Park Arboretum. This vibrant area is not only the city’s most populated: zip code 98102, the heart of the East District, is considered the most densely populated in the state of Washington.
