$15 Minimum Wage

$15 Minimum WageThe new minimum wage legislation passed by Seattle City Council and signed into law by Mayor Murray provides for an increase in the minimum wage in the City of Seattle to $15 an hour, phased in over time, beginning April 2015.

Metro funding proposal

Metro Funding ProposalTo preserve Metro bus service in the City of Seattle and along key inter-city routes, Mayor Murray is proposing a transit funding plan, expected on the November 2014 ballot. Through the following two revenue sources, the plan would generate $45 million per year: 1) a $60 vehicle fee and 2) a 0.1% sales tax.
