Members Sought for Urban Forestry Commission
SEATTLE – Mayor Greg Nickels and the Seattle City Council are looking for nine members to serve on the newly created Urban Forestry Commission.

The mayor will appoint four members subject to City Council confirmation, City Council will appoint four members, and these eight members will appoint the ninth member.
Commission meetings will be held monthly. Commission members generally must commit approximately 10 hours per month to commission business. Interested applicants must be Seattle residents, and commission members serve without compensation. Those interested in being considered should send a letter of interest and resume by Sept. 18, 2009.
