Report on Clean Seattle Initiative

 

85th Clean & Green Seattle - Seattle Works Day

On Saturday, June 7, 2008, Mayor Greg Nickels, in Partnership with Seattle Works, led more than fifteen (1,500) hundred volunteers as they cleaned more than forty-five sites throughout Seattle. The City of Seattle organized a work party to clean E. Union in the Central Area. For a fifth year the City of Seattle has partnered with Seattle Works to help build community. Seattle Climate Action Now reusable bags and get started cards were distributed to more than 800 volunteers. Anthony Harris took digital photographs.
