Report on Clean Seattle Initiative

 

86th Clean & Green Seattle - Downtown Seattle

On Saturday, July 12, 2008, Mayor Greg Nickels led more than twenty (20) volunteers and City workers as they picked up litter and mulched street tree pits. City Park Rangers and Parks & Recreation Department Superintendent Tim Gallagher also participated. More than 500 pounds of litter and debris were removed. UW Students, Seattle Department of Transportation, Seattle Parks and Recreation, the Department of Corrections and Seattle Public Utilities also assisted in the effort. Anthony Harris took digital photographs.
