Planning for Phase III
Draft - Preliminary Considerations

In Phase I of the garden's development, a design for the garden was created. In Phase II, the garden's basic infrastructure was completed and the various sections of the garden were layed out and planted.  The next phase is to focus on the  the items  in the approved final design plans prepared by Barker Landscape.  These include designing and building the Gathering Circle, an area in the center of the garden, and the formal entrance to the garden.  Public input will be solicited for developing the designs.

Other goals and strategies being developed include formalizing maintenance programs for parts of the garden, adding a public art, signage, and developing education components. The table below is the beginning of an long range assessement for  developing programs (some creative brainstorming) and  the capital needs to complete or maintain each portion of the garden.  These are suggestions  for items or programs that would be principally funded through donations or awards (See Donor Acknowledgements).  Suggestions would  require city approval before implementation.
