A Progress Report On Your Power Future
The Seattle City Light Strategic Plan Update highlights the progress the utility is making to realize its vision and goal to exceed customers' expectations in producing and delivering environmentally responsible, safe, affordable and reliable power.
In 2012, Seattle City Light completed a strategic planning process to develop a road map for how to best meet customers' current and future needs. Led by the City Light executive team, the process actively involved City Light employees, customers, the Seattle City Light Review Panel, other City department personnel, community members, and business leaders. .
The plan was adopted by City Council in May 2012 and the two-year update adopted in 2014. City Light is now in the process of completing its next two-year update to the plan.
The 2017-2022 Strategic Plan provides a blueprint for making informed decisions about the future. The plan is updated to reflect current conditions, incorporate necessary adjustments and provide a report on progress being made. This is an opportunity to gather community input on how City Light is doing on meeting and exceeding customers' expectations in producing and delivering on the promises of the strategic plan.
