OSO, WASHINGTON

On Saturday March 22, 2014, a major landslide occurred east of Oso, Washington – sending mud and debris across the Stillaguamish River, engulfing a neighborhood, and killing 43 people. As the event unfolded, City Light was there – dispatching crews to ensure the viability of transmission lines and allowing access to first responders. City Light’s response was an important part of restoring a critical communications line.
