POWER OUT FOR NEARLY 3000 ON BEACON HILL
SEATTLE - Power went out for approximately 2,986 City Light customers on Beacon Hill and South Seattle at 1:27 a.m. The Veterans Administration Medical Center is among those affected.
The cause of the outage is believed to be a tree falling on wires at about 25th Ave. So. and So. Columbia St., but City Light workers are still evaluating the extent of the damage. An estimated time of restoration is unknown at this time.
The area affected is bordered on the north by So. Hanford St., on the south by So. Brandon St, between 10 Ave. So. and 51st Ave So.
