About 5,800 Customers Without Power, Crews Dispatched to Make Repairs
SEATTLE - Three outages left about 5,800 customers without power Thursday night in Rainier Beach, Olympic View and West Seattle.
The West Seattle outage affected about 2,900 customers. The general boundaries of the outage were Alki Avenue SW on the north, SW Juneau on the south, 25th Avenue SW on the east and 44th Avenue SW on the west. The cause of the outage was not immediately known.
The Olympic View outage was caused by the failure of an elbow connector and affected about 1,900 customers. The general boundaries of the outage were N. 100th St on the north, N. 77th Street on the south, Roosevelt Way NE on the east and Aurora Avenue NE on the west.
The Rainier Beach outage affected about 1,000 customers. The general boundaries of the outage were S. Cloverdale St. on the north, S. 111th Street on the south, 55th Avenue S. on the east and East Marginal Way S. on the west. The cause of the outage was not immediately know.
Repair crews were dispatched to all the outages to identify problems and make repairs. An estimate for full restoration of service was not immediately available.
