Repairs Underway to Get All Back in Service by 3:30 p.m.
SEATTLE - Seattle City Light crews are working repair some failed electric sectionalizers that caused an outage in Tukwila this morning.
The outage, which started about 6:15 a.m., was initially estimated to affect 2,500 households and businesses. Dispatchers later lowered that estimate to 1,600. Power has been rerouted around the damaged area, restoring service to most of the affected area.
About 300 customers remain without power. Full restoration of service is expected by 3:30 p.m.
The updated, general boundaries of the outage are S 117th Place on the north, 42nd Ave. S on the south, 53rd Ave. S on the east, and Interurban Place S on the west.
