Equipment Failure to Blame
SEATTLE - Seattle City Light crews have restored electricity service to all customers affected by a power outage in Tukwila earlier today.
The outage, which affected as many as 1,600 households and businesses, started about 6:15 a.m. when several electric sectionalizers failed.
The outage was initially estimated to affect 2,500 households and businesses. Dispatchers later lowered that estimate to 1,600. Power has been rerouted around the damaged area, restoring service to most of the affected area.
Service was restored to all customers about 1:30 p.m.
