North Seattle power restored; small Viewridge outage continues
SEATTLE - Overnight and early this morning, Seattle City Light crews restored power to all customers in north Seattle who were affected by an outage that began just before 2 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, including the Northgate mall.
That outage initially affected about 4,000 customers and occurred when a high-voltage transmission line dropped onto distribution lines below, causing two feeders to fail.
Another small outage caused by equipment failure in the Viewridge neighborhood began just before 2 a.m. Sunday morning and is affecting 76 customers. This outage is unrelated to yesterday's power losses. Crews are on the scene and expect to have power restored by 2 p.m. this afternoon. The boundaries of this outage are:
North: NE 74th
South: NE 65th
East: 57th Ave. NE
West: 52nd Ave. N
