SEATTLE - There has been a power outage affecting approximately 2,600 customers in the Capital Hill and North Beacon Hill areas of Seattle.
The cause of the outage was a downed wire near the intersection of 6th Ave S. and S. Atlantic St. City Light crews responded and were making repairs.
The initial estimate for restoration of service was set at 5 p.m. That estimate could change once crews determine the extent of the repairs.
The general boundaries of the outage were on the north, E. Cherry St., on the south, S. Spokane St. on the east, 4th Ave S. and on the west 15th Ave S. Not everyone in that area is affected.
