Seattle - Large outage affects Capitol Hill east to Lake Washington

Just after 5 p.m., a large outage involving City Light feeders cut power to between 10,000 and 11,000 customers. The loss of power extends from the Ship Canal to Lake Washington.

Initial reports said that there were wires on the ground. Crews are on the scene assessing the situation. It was anticipated that power would be restored to 95 percent of City Light customers by 8 p.m. this evening.
