Public Hearing on New Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act (PURPA) Standards
SEATTLE — Seattle City Light will conduct a public hearing June 28 on the following new Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act (PURPA) standards which address:
- Net Metering
- Fuel Sources
- Fossil Fuel Generation Efficiency
- Smart Metering
- Interconnection
The purpose of this hearing and comment period is to solicit final comments on the five new electrical service standards added to PURPA as part of the Energy Policy Act of 2005. City Light is seeking the input of interested parties to assist its development of recommendations regarding whether to adopt the new federal standards. There will be an opportunity for public comment on the new PURPA standards at this hearing.
