City Light Work Will Affect Aurora Avenue Early Sunday Morning
SEATTLE-The northbound lanes of the Battery Street tunnel will be closed, and southbound drivers on Aurora Avenue will experience rolling slowdowns, early Sunday morning so that City Light can work on transmission lines over the roadway.
The work will take place Sunday, April 30, from about 2:45-4 a.m., on Aurora Avenue where it crosses over Broad Street. During that time, northbound traffic on the Alaskan Way Viaduct will have to exit at Western Avenue. Southbound traffic on Aurora will encounter rolling slowdowns and should expect delays near the Broad Street exit.
The traffic revisions will enable City Light to reroute a transmission line.
