SEATTLE CITY LIGHT RESTORING POWER AFTER WIND GUSTS
Rainier Beach Neighborhood Experiencing Early Morning Outage
Seattle City Light repair crews have been dispatched to begin restoration of power to the Rainier Beach neighborhood after an early morning power outage on Monday, May 3rd. Up to 3,473 homes and businesses were originally without power as a tree blew into power lines.
The outages general boundaries were S. Ryan St. on the north, 135th St on the south, Rainier Ave. S on the east 53rd Ave. S on the west.
The estimated time of restoration is 8 a.m.
Seattle City Light is the ninth largest public electric utility in the United States. It has the lowest cost customer rates of any urban utility, providing reliable, renewable and environmentally responsible power to nearly 1 million Seattle area residents. City Light has been greenhouse gas neutral since 2005, the first electric utility in the nation to achieve that distinction.
