SEATTLE —
Seattle City Light is responding to an outage in the First Hill and Capitol Hill neighborhoods. Currently there are approximately 29 customers still without electricity. The estimated restoral time is not known.
This outage was first reported at midnight. Originally there were about 2,900 customers without electricity. The cause of the outage was not known.
The general boundaries of the outage area are: north, John St.; south, E. Columbia St.; east, 21st Ave.; and west, Yale Ave. N.
Seattle City Light is the ninth largest public electric utility in the United States. It has the lowest cost customer rates of any urban utility, providing reliable, renewable and environmentally responsible power to nearly 1 million Seattle area residents. City Light has been greenhouse gas neutral since 2005, the first electric utility in the nation to achieve that distinction.
