SEATTLE — Seattle City Light crews completed repairs and restored power in the Northgate area. The outage was first reported Thursday at 8:30 p.m. There were an estimated 2,500 customers without electricity starting at approximately 8:30 p.m. The cause was a utility pole fire. Crews completed repairs at 11:55 p.m.
The boundaries of the original outage were: north NE 120th St; on the south, NE 100th St; on the east, 11th Ave NE and on the west, Fremont Ave N.
Seattle City Light is the ninth largest public electric utility in the United States. It has the lowest cost customer rates of any urban utility, providing reliable, renewable and environmentally responsible power to nearly 1 million Seattle area residents. City Light has been greenhouse gas neutral since 2005, the first electric utility in the nation to achieve that distinction.
