SEATTLE — Seattle City Light crews are responding to an outage in the Northgate area. . It was first reported at 8:30 p.m. There are an estimated 2,500 customers without electricity. The cause is reported to be a utility pole on fire. Crews are enroute to investigate.
The boundaries of the outages are: north NE 120th St; on the south, NE 100th St; on the east, 11th Ave NE and on the west, Fremont Ave N.
Seattle City Light is the ninth largest public electric utility in the United States. It has the lowest cost customer rates of any urban utility, providing reliable, renewable and environmentally responsible power to nearly 1 million Seattle area residents. City Light has been greenhouse gas neutral since 2005, the first electric utility in the nation to achieve that distinction.
