SEATTLE — Power went out at 3:47 a.m. for approximately 1,082 City Light customers in the Georgetown and Beacon Hill areas.
The cause of the outage is unknown at this time, but City Light workers have been sent to identify the problem and make any necessary repairs. An estimated time of restoration is unknown.
The area affected is bordered on the north by S. Cloverdale St., on the south by S. 11th St, between 55th Ave. S. and E. Marginal Way S.
Seattle City Light is the ninth largest public electric utility in the United States. It has the lowest cost customer rates of any urban utility, providing reliable, renewable and environmentally responsible power to nearly 1 million Seattle area residents. City Light has been greenhouse gas neutral since 2005, the first electric utility in the nation to achieve that distinction.
