(Seattle) –The power outage that began at 5 p.m. on NW Capital Hill has been partially restored. However, 950 customers remain without electricity while crews make repairs. A tree fell and took down a main distribution line which feeds power to the northwest Capital Hill neighborhood. Crews switched around the down wires to bring power to more homes by 9 this evening. Final repairs will not be completed until 3 a.m., Thursday. The boundaries of the power outage are: on the north, E Galer St; on the south, E. Mercer St., on the east, Boylston Ave E., and on the west, I-5.
The initial outage caused 3,250 customers to lose electricity and was within these boundaries; on the north, E. Allison St; on the south, E. Mercer St.; on the east, 13th Ave E and on the west, Minor Ave E.
