Seattle City Light Conservation | Tip of the Day

Tip 29 - Stay Active
We've discussed how you can help save the Earth by using energy wisely. There's another kind of energy you can use to protect the environment -- your own. If you haven't already taken steps to make your life and home more energy-efficient, it's a good time to begin. Start small, tackling one or two tasks at a time. Call City Light's Conservation Help Line for residential customers at 206-684-3800 to find how we can help. Then look outside the home. Here are the names and addresses of a few groups that have taken an active role in energy conservation issues. They all depend on citizens like you to pitch in. Whether you're using your energy to save energy in your home or in your community, your efforts do make a difference.

ACTIVE ENERGY CONSERVATION CONTACTS Visit City Light's online resource list of energy conservation and sustainable building partners at cityofseattle.net/light/conserve/cv4_link.htm. To contact local chapters of international or national environmental organizations by phone, check your phone book. And don't hesitate to write to local government officials to make your wishes known.
