Central Area Neighborhoods Accomplishments:
|

|
- Increased safety: over 200 volunteers delivered 4560 energy efficient compact fluroscent bulbs to their neighbors. Energy savings from these light bulbs helped the project exceed its savings goals by 50%.
- 70 households received home energy audits to find ways to save resources and lower their utility bills.
- Energy efficient lighting was installed in 70 small businesses.
- 200 showerheads and 400 aerators were installed to conserve water.
- Conducted several energy conservation workshops.
- An artistic performance by Seahawk Academy School students on energy conservation sustainability and environmental justice issues was organized.

- Enough electricity to power 114 new homes for a year.
- From Central Area neighborhoods residences -- 443,349 kilowatt hours/year
- From Central Area neighborhoods businesses -- 700,000 kilowatt hours/year
- Enough water to supply 18 households:
- 2771 gallons per day for a year from Central Area neighborhoods residences
