Race and Social Justice Initiative

Seattle City Light is a partner in the Race and Social Justice Initiative, a citywide effort to end institutionalized racism in City government. The initiative also strives to create a community that is enriched by its diverse cultures, with full participation by all its residents. As a part of that effort, City Light is committed to performing outreach and public engagement in a manner that reflects the racial and cultural diversity of Seattle.

City Light translates vital and critical information, such as safety information, our customer newsletter, conservation information, project-related news, and other topics into various languages including Chinese, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Spanish, Korean, Somali, and other relevant languages.

In addition, City Light provides interpreter services without charge when customers call our Customer Service Center, (206) 684-3000 and when customers visit our cashiers and lobbies in person for assistance.
