Seattle Shares

City of Seattle employees give generously to hundreds of community-based organizations during the year through the Seattle Shares program. Together, city employees donate more than $1 million annually and pledge nearly 15,000 volunteer hours. Supporting communities where we live and work and donating to local, national and global organizations is part of our culture of giving.

Puget Sound Heart Walk

A dozen City Light teams comprised of employees, family members and friends raised more than $10,000 for the American Heart Association by participating in the annual Puget Sound Heart Walk on Oct. 15, 2011. In total, City of Seattle departments raised $40,174 to help fight heart disease and stroke.
