Community Events
As a customer-owned public power utility, Seattle City Light is active in the communities we serve. Our support includes participating in community events such as the Seattle Green Festival, Salmon Homecoming, Skagit Eagle Festival, Girl Scouts Energy Conservation Awareness Month, and the Puget Sound Heart Walk. Renewable energy and conservation are key values at City Light and we show our commitment by supporting many community-based organizations including the NW Energy Coalition, Sustainable Seattle, Northwest Environmental Conference, Environmental Coalition of South Seattle, Climate Solutions, and the Northwest Environmental Business Council to name a few. We also participate and support industry organizations like the American Public Power Association, local chambers of commerce, and sponsor many solar workshops.
