West Capitol Hill Service Requests

The 301 E Pine St project is completed.  The building is energized now.  The only City Light work to be completed at the project is the removal of the temporary service which is located on the E Pine St side of the building.

City Light has twenty-five service connection projects happening in the Capitol Hill area. We want the surrounding community to know about them and we want to listen to any concerns.

The projects include new service connection requests inside and outside an area designated for undergrounding. A service connection is a request for electricity at a new development. There are other utilities working in the same area. So the area is very active.

City Light is working efficiently. Service connection work is, where possible, being coupled with undergrounding to reduce the disruption to parking and business. We relate to developers and other utilities in planning our work.

Unfortunately, we are not able to give a lot of specifics on impacts and timeline for each project. This is due to juggling customer interests, construction timelines, and crew availability.

What we do know is this:

  • Notice for any maintenance outages will be given in advance.
  • We'll communicate project details as they are known either through a letter, flyer, or face-to-face.
  • A City Light representative, Michael Gabrielson, will be a personal point of contact for the projects. See contact information above.
  • Additional contact information includes: Wayne Gallup, Seattle Department of Transportation Street Use, at 206-681-6099, or and James Kelly, Office of Economic Development Business Liaison, at 206-684-8612 or or visit:
