The Utility Discount Program helps income qualified Seattle City Light customers lower their electric bills by 60%. If enrolled in the program, customers may also get a free home energy visit that could identify ways for the household to save on electric consumption. Seattle Public Utilities customers will also receive 50% off their water, sewer, and garbage bills if enrolled in this program.
You may be eligible if:
- You are a Seattle City Light customer.
- Your total household income for the past month prior to applying does not exceed the amount listed in the table below.
- You do NOT receive direct federal housing subsidy such as Section 8 or Shelter + Care. NOTE: Housing types that ARE ACCEPTED into the program includes Tax Credit, Hope VI, Bond Housing, Minimum Rent and Housing First.
