If you have completed an apprentice program and have the right combination of education, skills and physical abilities to perform work on energized equipment used in the generation, transmission and distribution of electric power, and are willing to assist in the training of others, please apply as follows:

  1. Apply online to current openings at the City of Seattle Career Portal. Those applying for Journey-level Lineworker may obtain a special paper application form by either calling Seattle City Light at (206) 684-3133 or e-mailing your request to meghann.steinolfson@seattle.gov. Be sure to include your mailing address in your e-mail.

  2. Submit the completed application form, a copy of your resumé, letter of interest and complete five (5) year drivers abstract by e-mail to meghann.steinolfson@seattle.gov or by regular mail to
