Seattle City Light is working with a company called UtilX to extend the life of underground power lines in the Innis Arden/The Highlands neighborhoods. Underground power cables will be injected with silicone to fill cracks in their protective insulation. If cables are not suited to injection, they will be replaced at a later time. Work needed because of failing 30+ yrs old cable.
The project location is NW 166th St to NW 190th St; 8th Ave NW to 17th Ave NW. The tenative start date is August 20th, with normal work hours Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Customers will be notified of planned outages via door hangers.

Innis Arden
Crews will begin residential outages in late February/early March and end by April.
The Highlands
Anticipated end date of first week of April.
