Seattle City Light will be working with a company called UtilX to extend the life of underground power lines in the Windermere neighborhood. Underground power cables will be injected with silicone to fill cracks in their protective insulation. If cables are not suited to injection, they will be replaced at a later time.
Some planned outages will be necessary, and affected residents will be notified in advance.
11/08/2012 Update: Most of the work is now complete on this project. The only work that remains is on the feeder which does not require outages for the customers.
