Work planned on: Horizon View Electric Cable Injection

Seattle City Light will be working with a company called UtilX to extend the life of underground power lines in the Horizon View neighborhood. Underground power cables will be injected with silicone to fill cracks in their protective insulation. If cables are not suited to injection, they will be replaced at a later time.

Planned outages will be required to complete this work. The contractor will notify affected customers on the Thursday afternoon prior to the next week's outages. Not all customers within Horizon View will be affected. Affected customers are being sent a mailing.

A community meeting to explain the project was held on 3/15.
