Seattle City Light will be working with a company called UtilX to extend the life of underground power lines in the McGilvra-Denny/Blaine neighborhoods. Underground power cables will be injected with silicone to fill cracks in their protective insulation. If cables are not suited to injection, they will be replaced at a later time.
Planned outages will be required to complete this work. The contractor will notify you on the Thursday evening prior to the next week's outages. The maximum number of outages that a person can expect is five.
The work will be between East Galer Street on the north, and East Pike Street on the south; 42nd Avenue East on the east and 32nd Avenue East on the west. Affected customers will receive a letter of notification.
Additionally, there will be a community meeting explaining the work on June 7, 2011 from 7:00pm - 8:00pm at the Montlake Community Center located at 1618 East Calhoun Street, Seattle, WA-206.684.4736.
