Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) is progressing in its work to double the width of the Spokane Street Viaduct by building a new structure immediately to the north and adjacent to the existing structure. SDOT expects to open a new combined westbound on-off ramp (the only westbound on-off ramp on the project in SODO) by year's end. The plan is to have the project finished by spring of 2012.
