Work planned on: Occidental: Railroad Way S.to South King Street
|
As part of the preliminary work for replacing the Alaskan Way Viaduct, Seattle City Light needs to install ducts and vaults and relocate high-voltage "feeder" lines from 1st Avenue South to Occidental Avenue South, from Railroad Way South to South King Street. Civil construction is planned for April 2012. We anticipate that it will take ten months to complete. The electrical phase will follow. It is less impactful as crews use step vans to pull cable from vaults. The electrical phase will last approximately six months.
10/11/2012 Update: We believe this project will start no earlier than late in the 1st quarter of 2013.
