Work planned on: Relamping Mercer St. to 65th St., Puget Sound to L
The purpose of this project is to improve the reliability and performance of the street lighting system. Each phase of the project replaces approximately 25 percent of the street light bulbs in the Seattle City Light service area. At each light location, the contractor will replace the lamp and photoelectric control, clean each fixture, verify the fixture line voltage, install a bar code ID label on each fixture, and verify and adjust luminaire leveling, alignment, and socket settings as needed. In addition, the contractor will check and note the streetlight condition and tree obstructions. This project will be done in four phases over a period of four years. Phase 1 in south quarter of Seattle City Light's service territory including portions of King County and Phase 2 from Mercer St. to Brandon St. are complete. Phase 3 in progress: Project Location: Mercer St. to 65th St., Puget Sound to LK. WA. Project Status: Work started on April 1, 2010 in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Anticipated completion of relamping work is December 2010.
Begin: Phase 3 began April 1, 2010
