Central Waterfront Transmission Line Relocation Project Construction Activities
Work Complete! Crews finished final restoration work and updates to the Union Street Substation in late June. The switch of power from the old transmission lines beneath the Alaskan Way viaduct to new underground transmission lines was made on July 1. Please note: All construction was completed on the Central Waterfront Transmission Line Relocation Project on July 1, 2012. All traffic, pedestrian and bike routes have been restored relative to this project, however additional work is ongoing for other waterfront construction projects.
